Natural Skin Cream
Natural skin cream has grown in popularity over the last twenty years at a fantastic rate. Natural skin cream
started to gain popularity in the mid to late seventies among the young, but it was not until their children were
old enough to use skin care products that natural skin cream came into its own. Nowadays, the grandchildren of the
kids in the seventies do not want anything other than natural skin cream. Natural skin cream is less likely to
produce an allergic reaction too.
Natural Skin Cream
Most people these days put a lot of trust in the word 'natural' as in natural skin cream. The majority of those
under sixty would rather use natural skin cream than synthetic skin cream. In the world of skin care the
popular notion is that 'natural' is good and 'synthetic' is bad.
There is practically no argument against the idea that natural skin cream, when used as a facial moisturizer or
anti-wrinkle cream, is better, but what if there is no natural skin cream for your skin condition? What if you
have acne and only synthetic chemicals work for you? Are they really so bad?
Well, a little known fact is that many natural skin cream products are not 100% natural, because they
contain synthetic preservatives. Those natural skin creams that do use natural preservatives are usually more
expensive and they usually have a shorter shelf life. Therefore, the moral is to check the label and find out what
each of the constituents is on the Internet, if you want to use only natural skin cream.
Many people believe the myth that natural skin cream cannot be harmful to their skin, because it is natural.
However, this is not necessarily true. People can be allergic to natural things too. Take Poison Ivy for example.
It is 100% natural, but 100% bad for most people too. Obviously, skin care products have to undergo stringent tests
before they are allowed onto the market, my point is only that 'natural skin cream' is not always what you might
think it is.
By all means look for natural skin cream, but do not be fooled by unscrupulous manufacturers who put the word
'natural' on all their products because they know that the word will boost sales.
In fact, if you really want to use only natural skin cream, you could make your own after getting appropriate
recipes from the Internet or the library.
Homemade natural skin cream would probably include the pulp of organic fruits and vegetables together with some
essential oils and olive oil, because it is well-known for its moisturizing and antiseptic qualities.
Using real natural skin cream is a good idea for most people, but it does not give you carte blanche to stop
taking other natural measures to look after your skin. These other natural measures include: following a balanced,
healthy diet of non-fatty foods, fruit, vegetables, nuts and legumes; taking regular exercise; drinking 3-4 pints
of water a day and washing regularly with mild soap and luke warm water. Natural skin cream is not the whole
story.
